Bryan Acheampong Spiritually Prepared for NPP Flagbearer Race – Campaign Team

Bryan Acheampong Spiritually Fortified for NPP Flagbearer Race – Campaign Team

A key member of the campaign team for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Dr. Bryan Acheampong says the aspirant is spiritually grounded and unwavering in the face of intimidation, as the party prepares for its presidential primaries in January 2026.

Andy Appiah-Kubi, a legal practitioner and senior figure in Dr. Acheampong’s campaign, stated that the former Minister for Food and Agriculture has received spiritual blessings and guidance from renowned clergy, and is entering the flagbearer race with divine assurance and a clear sense of mission.

“How would we be threatened when we have started with our belief in God—having obtained fortification, spiritual guidance, and the blessings of the Lord to begin a journey that takes us nearly eight months? Victory is only waiting for us,” Appiah-Kubi affirmed during an interaction with the media.

He emphasized that Dr. Acheampong’s team remains unshaken by the presence or influence of any other contenders, insisting that their focus is on the mission at hand, not the perceived strength of rivals.

“We will not be intimidated by anybody’s presence, nor are we going to consider how strong somebody is,” he reiterated.

Dr. Bryan Acheampong recently met with the leadership of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, where he received prayers and spiritual support as part of his early preparations for the party’s internal race. This move has been interpreted as a strong signal of the religious and moral foundation upon which he is building his presidential ambitions.

The former minister’s official entry into the flagbearer contest adds a new layer of intensity to what is already shaping up to be a highly competitive NPP presidential primary. Other prominent figures vying for the position include Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, and former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

With just over six months to go before the NPP elects its 2026 flagbearer, Dr. Acheampong’s team remains confident, citing not only his political credentials but also the spiritual foundation driving his campaign. The party’s final selection will be closely watched, as it sets the tone for the general elections in 2028.
