Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo Families Open East Legon Residence to Mourners Following the Passing of Mrs Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo

The families of the late Mrs. Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo (née Ahwoi) have formally announced arrangements for mourners and sympathisers to pay their respects following her passing on Tuesday, 17th June 2025. A statement jointly issued by the Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families confirmed that they are now receiving visitors at her East Legon residence in Accra.

Mourners are welcome to visit the family home, located at No. 36 Kwakwaranya Street, East Legon, Accra (GA 449 1002), during the following times daily: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. These designated periods will allow friends, relatives, and well-wishers to express their condolences in a peaceful and supportive environment.

Mrs. Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo, known for her warmth, grace, and unwavering commitment to her family, is remembered as a beloved wife, sister, mother, and friend. Her death marks the end of a life deeply rooted in love, compassion, and service to others.

“We welcome all who wish to express their condolences and support during this difficult time,” the statement from the families read.

In honour of her life and legacy, the families have also announced plans for the one-week observance of her passing. The commemorative service will take place on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, at the Police Church in Accra, starting at 8:00 a.m.

The observance will bring together family, friends, and loved ones to pay tribute to a remarkable woman whose life touched many. The event is expected to serve as a moment of reflection, prayer, and celebration of the impactful life Mrs. Bartels-Kodwo lived.

Since the announcement of her passing, the Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, sympathy, and support. They expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out with comforting messages and visits.
