Adom FM/TV Donates GH₵40,000 to Brain Tumour Patient in Need

Adom FM/TV Donates Over GH₵40,000 to Okuapeman SHS Student for Brain Tumour Surgery
In a touching display of compassion and community support, Adom FM/TV — the Akan brands of Multimedia Group Limited — has raised and donated over GH₵40,000 to support a brain tumour surgery for Maame Yaa Sarfoah, a first-year student at Okuapeman Senior High School (SHS).

The fundraising effort was driven by the kind-hearted audience of Adom FM and Adom TV, who responded generously after a public appeal was made on behalf of Maame Yaa. The young girl, who is also an orphan, shared her emotional story with the public, detailing the physical and academic struggles she has faced since being diagnosed with the tumour.
The donation was presented to Eunice Adubea Sarkodie, a Senior Public Health Nurse at the Department of Surgery, who received the cheque on Maame Yaa’s behalf. She expressed deep appreciation to Adom FM/TV and their audience for coming together to support a young life in need.
“This contribution gives Maame Yaa a fighting chance and shows the incredible power of community,” she said.
Maame Yaa, in her brief remarks, also thanked all donors for their support and kindness. She noted how the condition has affected her schooling and daily life, but said the donation has renewed her hope for recovery.
Thanks to the generous support from Adom FM/TV’s audience, Maame Yaa now has a brighter path ahead in both health and education.
